KATHLEEN YAZBAK

Kathleen brings more than twenty years’ experience building the talent strategies of high-impact philanthropies and social sector organizations as well as at mission-driven corporations. She was a partner with two boutique search firms after having spent nearly a decade at The Bridgespan Group, an affiliate of Bain & Company. At Bridgespan, Kathleen created and built a search practice that successfully led 200+ senior searches. She continues to advise Bridgespan on senior searches. Earlier in her career, Kathleen worked in London and Boston with Whitehead Mann. She also spent seven years leading multinational searches in Europe and Asia for Heidrick & Struggles, based in Paris.

Kathleen co-authored an article in the Harvard Business Review, “Get ready for your next assignment,” and has been widely quoted on leadership and diversity-related topics in Forbes, Bloomberg Business Week, The New York Times and The Chronicle of Philanthropy. She has also written numerous articles for The Bridgespan Group’s website, including a recent series of three interviews about effective nonprofit boards.

Kathleen earned a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. from New York University/La Sorbonne. She is a proud Arab-American, daughter of a naturalized American citizen, carries two passports and is bilingual in French. Kathleen recently completed ten years as a board member of the Riverview School, a national leader in educating students with complex language and learning challenges. In her spare time, she is deepening her yoga practice, enjoys ethnic cooking and is a furniture repair novice.
