KAREN DEMAY

An expert in developing, leading and executing executive search and organizational development strategies, Karen is passionate about transformation, excellence and achievement. She has broad experience across multiple industries including technology, biotechnology, non-profit, philanthropy and financial services and has demonstrated success working with CEOs, c-suite executives and teams for start-ups, mid-size and fortune 50 companies. At The Dubrof Group, Karen helps our clients recruit, engage, develop, and retain leaders who drive positive outcomes and solve complex problems.

Karen started her career in Boston at a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments. She was recruited to Heidrick & Struggles where she was an award-winning associate in the International Technology Practice. After four years, she started a consulting firm providing research, recruiting and executive search to commercial clients including Atlas Venture, a Boston-based venture capital firm. In 2004, she joined The Bridgespan Group, a consulting firm serving nonprofits and founded by the former CEO of Bain & Company. As the third employee in the Talent Division, she was instrumental in the development of business processes and strategy and subsequently led a team delivering executive recruiting and organizational development advice to clients in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.

In 2011, Karen joined Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC as an executive recruiter for the Wealth, Brokerage and Retirement group. In 2019, she was promoted to lead the executive recruiting team supporting Technology, Wealth & Investment Management, Human Resources and Finance. During her tenure at Wells Fargo, Karen developed, piloted, and launched the external succession pipelining program, a foundational element of Wells Fargo’s transformational change as it relates to People strategies.

Karen holds a BA in Communications from University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Boston College. She is also a Certified Co-Active Professional Coach.
